Doing laundry is probably among the most detested household chores for people especially when they are busy with other things such as work and taking care of the kids. It is even more frustrating when the clothes so not quite turn out to be very clean after hours of slaving over the washer. A trick that you should try is the vinegar wash for your whites to make them cleaner and more resistant to staining when you wear them.

This procedure might be a little bit unconventional for you because it is very possible that you rely on store bought bleaching solutions and detergents but the vinegar wash is actually very effective especially when you use it to soak your laundry before you even stick it in the washer. A pre-soak wash is very important especially if you want to remove the stubborn chocolate stains or even mud and blood.

For the vinegar wash to be effective on your whites, you have to use the proper water to vinegar ratio. For every part of vinegar, you have to add ten parts of lukewarm water. Leave your laundry for about 12-24 hours to let the enzyme really percolate in the clothes after which, you should wash them with plain water to remove the stench of the vinegar. Add detergent only after you have washed the clothes with plain water otherwise you run the risk of ruining some of the more delicate fabrics. It is quite alright to use fabric conditioner to keep them soft and eliminate the need for ironing.
