Read below our sponsored ads for more information on eco friendly cleaning to help the environment, your health and your budget.

When it comes to buying shampoo, most of the products you’ll find in stores are full of unhealthy ingredients and chemicals that are bad for our health. The truth is you can use much simpler alternatives, and even make your own natural liquid shampoo!

Use these recipes as guidelines for making your own:

Avocado, honey and milk: for dry hair

1. Peel the avocado and put it into the blender.
2. Add a tablespoon of honey. This is what helps to nourish the hair, and it smells great too!
3. Add half a cup of milk to the honey and avocado.
4. Blend until the mixture is smooth and make sure to use it within three days. You can always store it in the fridge if you have too much.

2. Add a tablespoon of honey to this.
3. Add the juice from one lemon to the honey and seaweed.
4. Mix it thoroughly and then leave for half an hour to allow the ingredients to infuse. Make sure you use it within five days.

When you use lemon in a natural liquid shampoo this really helps to make it shine. The seaweed and honey with nourish it – and it smells fantastic!
